WHO vs HOW
The Who vs How — Something I wish I learned much earlier in my founder journey.
The first rule in building anything: Figure out the ‘who’ not the ‘how’. We are collaborative beings. It may be tempting to do everything by ourselves but in a world that runs on instant gratification, getting things done faster is far more important.
Our education system engrains asking “how” & discourages asking “who” which takes away our power to leverage the abundant human capital. We need to understand the extent of this power and curate, not create, strong and passionate teams to collaborate with and drive innovation.
By delegating our HOWs to our WHOs, we can free ourselves of some of the mental weight and obligations of unfinished projects and focus on what we truly love to do. The goal is not to be a master of all trades but optimize our productivity and keep our passion alive.
